The South Africa – Sweden University Forum (SASUF)
The South Africa-Sweden University Forum (SASUF) is a strategic internationalisation project uniting partner universities in South Africa and Sweden with embassies, civil society organisations, funding agencies and ministries from both countries.
Project results
Some of the major achievements from the first years of cooperation are as follows:
- The project has connected more than 3000 researchers, students, university leaders and funding agencies in seminars and workshops.
- We have funded 70 international collaboration projects (connected to SDGs).
- A Joint Declaration has been submitted to the Ministers of Higher Education and Research in both countries.
- The foundation of the SASUF Student Network. This network consists of student representatives from each partner university.
