When will I receive my invoice?

Here is a rough outline of the payment timeline for new students: from when you will receive an invoice, the payment process, to receiving your payment confirmation.

Within two weeks, after the admissions results are published you will receive an e-mail to the address you used in your application. The e-mail will contain a link to your invoice. Please contact feemaster@uu.se if you have not received this e-mail within three weeks after the admissions results are published.

Once you receive your invoice, we strongly recommend that you make the payment as soon as possible. You cannot apply for a residence permit until Uppsala University has received and confirmed that your tuition fee has been paid. By paying as early as possible, you increase your chances of receiving a residence permit in time for you to begin the programme. Please visit the Swedish Migration Agency’s website for more information about residence permits.

For payment instructions, please visit How to pay your tuition fees. We recommend card payment, since it is fast, secure, and ensures that we receive the correct amount.

If we have not received your payment by 1 June you will not be guaranteed a housing offer.

Your programme admission will be cancelled if we have not received the tuition fee.

When we have received your payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Once you have received our confirmation, you can apply for your residence permit at the Swedish Migration Agency.

If you have not received an e-mail within 10 banking days after paying, please contact feemaster@uu.se.

You will receive an invoice in Ladok before each semester. For current students the due date for paying the invoice for the spring semester is 15th December, and for the autumn semester is 1st August.

If you do not pay the tuition fee, you risk being put on academic suspension. Suspension implies that you will not be permitted to take part in any activities connected to your programme at Uppsala University, such as taking part or re-registering in courses, seminars or examinations.
