One of the following is required: (1) 120 credits including Methods in Biotechnology. Technology of Process Modelling is recommended; or (2) 180 credits including 60 credits in biology and 30 credits in chemistry. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

About the course
The course gives you advanced knowledge about protein production on different scales, especially large-scale production, in the biotechnology industry. Cultivation of cells in bioreactors, protein purification, and methods for the characterisation of proteins are covered in the course.
