About the Department of Electrical Engineering
Electrification and digitalization are among the largest areas for the conversion to sustainable societies. At the Department of Electrical Engineering we conduct successful research and education in these areas and contribute to important technical energy, health and social developments: mainly within the fields of renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, industrial IoT, 5G/6G communication and wireless sensor networks, smart electronic sensors, and medical systems.
The Department of Electrical Engineering was founded in 2020 and is made up by four divisions: Electricity, Networked Embedded Systems, Signals and Systems and Solid-State Electronics. We are an international and diverse workplace with four divisions and around 160 employees at the Ångström Laboratory.
