Who benefits from ISP support?

Since 1971, more than 1,000 PhD students have graduated with ISP support!

In the early years of ISP most PhD students did their studies at a Swedish university, since their home university lacked PhD education.

Beneficiaries

ISP support aims to build both individual and institutional capacity, benefiting students and researchers, academic institutions, and ultimately, the society.

Since the 1980s, ISP has supported 120 research groups and 27 regional scientific networks in Africa, Asia and Latin America. On average, 60 groups and networks are supported each year.
