Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists work with people of all ages who may have a range of different functional impairments and activity limitations. A physiotherapist trains those at risk of losing their ability to move around, who need help to regain mobility, or in various ways have to compensate for mobility losses due to disease or injury. The physiotherapy programme provides a comprehensive education in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject, including periods of clinical training. We offer clinical training at a number of healthcare establishments throughout the country, but particularly in the counties of Dalarna, Gävleborg and Uppsala.

The goal of the programme is for you to be able to work independently as a physiotherapist with a bio-psycho-social approach in different areas of specialisation. In addition to the medical and biological aspects of physiotherapy, psychological and social factors that affect people's health, health education and communication are important elements of the programme.
