Conservation
Cultural heritage has increasingly come into focus as an area of importance for the development of contemporary society. Conservation is about how society, institutions and individuals define, select and use cultural heritage.
Conservation deals traditionally with issues of conservation and restoration of objects and environments, but here we also have the ambition to apply the perspectives of sustainable development and management of cultural resources as a driver. The fact that our society is constantly changing means that conservation needs to be managed using an interdisciplinary and community-oriented approach.
