About the course
The course is an introduction to classical and modern approaches to the relationship between power, elites and education in social sciences and sociology of education; it includes historical and ethnographic perspectives as well as theories and studies in sociology and political science. Key issues and concepts are explored, such as the role of education in the reproduction of the contemporary power elite and the emergence of transnational forms of education and elites.
