How to get to Uppsala


Arrival desk at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Uppsala University will have an arrival desk set up at Arlanda Airport on Friday 17 January between 11:00 and 19:00 and Saturday 18 January between 11:00 and 15:00.

The desk is located outside the customs service in Terminal 5.

Please note that if you arrive at any other terminal you will need to go to Terminal 5 to meet us. While the arrival desk is open, we will offer a complimentary shuttle service from Arlanda Airport to Uppsala. The shuttle service from Arlanda Airport will drop students off at the Welcome Centre in Uppsala (at the Segerstedt Building).

Welcome Centre in Uppsala

Uppsala University will have a Welcome Centre set up in Uppsala, at the Segerstedt Building. The Welcome Centre will be open on Friday 17 January between 12:00 and 20:00 and Saturday 18 January between 12:00 and 16:00.

Services at the Welcome Centre include:

  • Uppsala University Housing Office for keys and contracts for most housing areas (only for students who have been offered housing through the Uppsala University Housing Office)
  • Welcome packages
  • Shuttle services to housing areas
  • Student Internet Account (requires formal ID, take your passport with you)
  • Temporary student ID

Staff from the Housing Office and the International Office, as well as student volunteers, will be on hand at the Welcome Centre. The Segerstedt Building is located at Dag Hammarskjölds väg 7.

The orientation programme is organised by the International Committee which is a student run organisation. Orientation will be held between during the first week of the semester. The programme will be published on the International Committee website.
