Information about registration

This information applies to the courses at the Unit for Academic Teacher and Learning.

Notification conditions

We assume that you have been approved by your head of the department to register for and participate in the course if you get a place. The Academic Teacher Training Course in Swedish and English has several course opportunities per semester. When you are admitted to a course session, you will automatically be removed from the other course sessions that you have registered for.

Some of the courses with the organizer Unit for Academic Teaching and Learning are the same dates. When you register on more than one course, please make sure that the dates on the courses you apply to won´t be at the same dates. Information about all course dates is available in our calendar.

Course registration confirmation is binding. Cancellation/retraction of participation is possible up to two weeks after the course registration confirmation has been issued to you. Cancellation of participation after that point entails that your department will be invoiced for a SEK 2 000 administrative fee.

Please note that your presence and participation during the first scheduled course session is mandatory in all courses arranged by the unit, unless otherwise stated.

The following applies for all courses at the Unif for Academic Teaching and Learning: If a course participant is unable to complete a course within the given time frame, all elements / assignments must be completed within three years from the start of the course in order to receive a passing grade / certificate of completion. The prerequisite for this is that course information and course objectives are the same.

Information about how to register

In the calendar, you can see which course sessions are open for registration autumn 2024.

If you want to register for a course opportunity, go to the registration link at the webpage courses for employees. If the registration is open, there is a link next to the name of the course. Only the courses that are open for registration have a registration link next to the course name. When you want to register for the unit for university pedagogy courses, you must click on the registration link, a registration form will open and when you have filled in your information, click on "Skicka/Send".

Please note that you must have an e-mailaddress at Uppsala University to apply and participate at the courses.
You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail.

Course Credits

Information about the extent of our courses is usually provided in terms of how many work weeks the participant will be subjected to training on a full-time basis. When completely finished with the course, a certificate is issued to the participant making this fact clear. The University Management at Uppsala University has stipulated that each Faculty is responsible for making their own decisions as to whether course credits are to be given to the participant or reduction of the participant´s working hours offered instead. In some cases, these issues are delegated to the departments to allow them to make their own decisions. We recommend any party concerned to regard one work week on a full-time basis as equal to 1.5 higher education credits.
