Heating
Heating accounts for a large part of the energy used in society. Uppsala University is involved in feasibility studies relating to Deep Geothermal Heat (DGH). This project involves geophysical research on the exploitation of the enormous heat resources that lie at great depth underground, even in Sweden. There is also research on district heating and its interaction with the electricity system in the built environment.
