Short presentation

I am a PhD and an Associate Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor in human geography at the Department of Human Geography, Campus Gotland. I am interested in transdisciplinary and social science research on sustainability, natural resource management, governance, planning and policy, especially in relation to gender and intersectional power relations.

Biography

I obtained my PhD degree at the Department of Human Geography at Stockholm University. I have also worked at the Department of Geography at Umeå Univeristy. Since 2023, I am working as an Associate Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Geography at Uppsala University, Campus Gotland.

Research

I am interested in transdisciplinary and social science research on sustainability, natural resource management, governance, planning and policy. In relation to these themes, I am specialised in feminist research on the nexus of gendered power relations and the environment. I am theoretically and methodologically interested and have a poststructural understanding of gender as relational, spatial, intersectional and performative processes.

My research has been published in journals such as Gender, Place & Culture, Environment and Planning C: Government and Policy, Scandinavian Journal of Forest Research, Forest Policy and Economics, and Ambio.

I have been teaching at university programs and independent courses in human geography, geography and planning at the undergraduate and master level. I am currently teaching on the undergraduate planning programme at Campus Gotland.
