Short presentation
I am interested in studying the intersection of gender and urban space in literary texts. My doctoral thesis analyzes the representations of women in the literature from eighteenth-century London. I focus, in particular, on the representations by women writers, who are often ignored in the studies on literary urban cultures. This work derives from the spatial turn in humanities and I am interested in exploring how spatial theory opens new ways of reading works from this period.
