Internationalisation in education

Uppsala University aims to offer educational programmes of the highest national and international quality. All students must also be given the opportunity to acquire first-class subject area knowledge and general academic skills. We work towards these goals through, among others, the actions described on this page.

Student mobility

Uppsala University has exchange agreements for incoming and outgoing students with hundreds of partner universities.

• The partner universities can be found on all contintents except Antarctica.
• The exchange activities are funded by, inter alia, the EU framework programme Erasmus+ and the Nordic Council of Ministers’ programme Nordplus.
  
• The Erasmus Traineeship grant gives students the opportunity to receive a grant for participating in a traineeship, collecting data or doing volunteer work in Europe.
  

Student recruitment

Uppsala University aspires to recruit students from all over the world and educate for a global labour market. To achieve these goals, the university engages in, among other things, the following:

• Collaborating with a number of student recruitment agents from all over the world.
  
• Offering Bachelor's programmes and Master's programmes entirely taught in English.
• Offering freestanding courses that are taught in English.
