FAQ- Practical information Graduation Ceremony

• On October 5, ceremonies will be held for graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• On November 9, ceremonies will be held for graduates with a civil- or högskoleingenjörsexamen.

Depending on how many people sign up, we will organize either one or two ceremonies during the day. Information on what time the ceremony starts will be sent out via email together with the official invitation.

If you cannot attend the date of your program's ceremony, you can register for the other ceremony date. Enter your degree in the "other" box.

The Graduation Ceremony takes place in the Grand auditorium at the University Main Building, Biskopsgatan 3, 753 10 Uppsala.

The exact number of guests that you can bring with you will be determined after the deadline for registration of interest. Normally it is between 6-8 guests. You are responsible for inviting the guests yourself.

Dress code for graduates is jacket (i.e. dressed up), no dress code for guests.

The length of the ceremony is about 1 to 1,5 hours depending on the number of graduates.

Coat hangers is located outside the auditorium or in the unattended wardrobe.

You don't have to bring your degree certificate to the ceremony. The diploma awarded during the ceremony is only for ceremonial purpose.
